Governor McAuliffe -- Virginia Needs Redistricting Reform!

Gerrymandering prevents fair elections.

We need to add a statement about the events this session where bipartisan support was expressed in the Senate and then the House inappropriately table this bill without a vote.

Gerrymandering is a way the majority party (any flavor ) uses to stay in the majority. It does not provide true democracy. I would like to help with redistricting in Virginia.

This is very important nonpartisan issue that would improve both parties.

We need this now... tell us what we can do to help this!

We need to rebuild trust in out election system!

All we are asking for is fair and bipartisan! You will truly be serving all the people of Virginia by addressing this!

We need to know where our legislators stand on the issue of gerrymandering! Too much is done without us knowing!

I know that my representative Mark Obenshein is against this democratic move because I spoke with his office. But he needs to have a vote on record so all his constituents can know he didn't vote for even the simplest rule forbidding legislators to cut out people who don't vote "their way".

Let's base districting around school districts. That should help keep them tight, and have some unifying characteristics.

Earlier this month, hundreds of Virginians from the Harrisonburg area alone called delegates to ask them to pursue this matter. It clearly holds importance for them and should be addressed in a vote that reflects their values.

I support redistricting reform, it is an important issue for Virginia and must be addressed.

Choosing representative districts on a non-partisan basis may be the best chance we have to preserve our democracy!

It's not democratic to continue gerrymandering the way it is. We need to end it.

We MUST end gerrymandering!
