As a resident of the 88th district, I'm extremely disappointed in Mark Cole, my delegate and chairman of the privileges and elections committee, killing any chance of bipartisan redistricting reform from moving out of the committee and to the house floor for a recorded vote. I'm doing my part by working to get him unseated. I urge Governor McAuliffe to call a special session of the legislature so that all Virginians may know where their delegates stand on this important issue when they go to vote this November.

Setting term limits, ensuring voter eligibility and ending gerrymandering will revitalize bipartisan politics.

Districts should make geographical and community sense. The current setup is anti-democratic - making it difficult for candidates to run and for citizens to meet.

With so many threats to democracy afoot, this effort has become even more important.

All you have to do is look at the district map of Virginia and know it has been manipulated. Fix it.

Thank you for organizing this. The entire General Assembly needs to vote on this issue rather than killing it in a subcommittee at 7 in the morning. Let the entire GA vote, so that voters can see where they stand.
Gerrymandering is a scourge on our democracy. Until we solve this problem, voters will not have a true say in who represents them. We will continue to have gridlock and partisanship will rule.
Let the GA vote!

We need to get to the root of what's undermining our representative democracy in Virginia. Bring this issue before the entire legislative body in a special session.

Gerrymandering has harmed democracy in so many ways. Its is unconscionable to direct votes toward a particular platform or candidate. Please call for new redistricting legislation that is fair.

Gerrymandering polarizes voters and prevents the necessity of legislators to listen to diverse points of view and find compromise positions that benefit everyone.
