Governor McAuliffe -- Virginia Needs Redistricting Reform!

The Courts have already ruled that VA congressional district lines are an unconstitutional racial gerrymander that need to be redrawn. I fail to understand why this has not yet been fixed or at least voted on given the court rulings? We need a bipartisan solution to this partisan issue that clearly benefits one party instead of constituants!

Please force the legislature to address gerrymandering reform. Can a special session be called? The current districts do not allow for fair representation.

Please act on this, Governor McAuliffe!

Dear Gov. McAuliffe--Please call a special session to take up this important cause. Even if it doesn't pass this time, make the republicans show their true colors--that they are against honest representation.

Gov. McAuliffe, Redistricting is an important issue for all Virginians. Please don't allow this issue to go by with out our representatives making their views known.

Please call a special session of the legislature and send down redistricting legislation that will establish an independent, nonpartisan commission to create fair districts to ensure representational democracy in Virginia. Virginians want all members of the House and Senate to have a recorded vote on gerrymandering. Virginians need to know where their representatives stand on this issue before we vote for all 100 members of the House of Delegates in November 2017.

Gerrymandering is unnaturally rigging our political system in favor of one party. Voters should be represented in a fair and reasonable way.

I proudly voted for Governor McAuliffe and am confident that he can lead the way to end gerrymandering.

Redistricting is a must for Virginia. It is time for change in the Commonwealth so all taxpayers and voters are treated fairly.

This process is a blatant action to dilute the democratic process in Virginia. This is an act of voter suppression and misrepresentation to maintain the "old guard" racist policies of Virginias past. Communities that once built coalitions to have a unified voice in our representative government are split according to benefit the republican agenda since they have a hold on the legislature. Case in point - Yorktown has always been in the first district until it was seen that our area isn't as conservative as it once was and our population is becoming more ethically diverse and educated. Now we're in a non-sensical 2nd district and even Rob Wittman is confused - he has the York River Coleman Bridge in his letter head and he no longer represents this area. Please eliminate this practice. Its criminal. Jim Gordon
