Dear Governor Baker, I live about a mile from this pond and would appreciate any help you could offer.
Thank you in advance for your time and effort!

There is just no reasonable excuse for Brockton's refusal. For the sake of the health of these ponds, these actions need to be done.

I completely agree with everything in the letter to the governor PLUS I recently found out that the Mass Legislature passed laws regulating the use of fertilizers containing phosphorus...requiring soil tests showing phosphorous deficiency before fertilizers containing it could be applied....Yet no one has mentionned this, no notices etc. from what testing has shown high levels of phosphorous are major contributors to our weed and algae problems...In addition to Brockton's actions of course....I guess if the excess fertilizers were flushed out through normal water flow...the consequences of over fertilizing wouldn't be so obvious. Supposedly from Sept 1st until November, Halifax will be getting water from Brockton....Guys....buy bottled water unless you want to drink treated sludge!

Brockton has been drawing water out of Monponsett lake for years and is causing it to be in a condition that makes it unusable for Halifax residents.

My family has lived in Monponsett for 43 years and I remember playing in the lake with my friends as a kid. I have 3 children of my own now, and it's a shame they can't enjoy the lake the way I did when I was their ages. We would love to fish and canoe on this lake but I'm worried about letting my kids play near it.
