Our ponds, lakes and rivers need to be clean to sustain the growing population. We also need to preserve this beautiful lake!

As president of the beach association representing 25 families, I implore the governor to take action on this as soon as possible. This is a wonderful resource for the town and it is a crime to have the lake become a swamp. Families are afraid to have their kids enjoy the water.

" Charity begins at home " ! Isn't time to put our tax dollars back into making our hometowns not a dumping ground ! If you are a true environmentalist then you believe all of our waters ( ponds , lakes, rivers and oceans ) need to be clean to support every living creature .

I have spent many a night on the pond in my lifetime and the enjoyable nights become fewer and fewer with the poor shape of the water right now. Bring the good days back!

Something needs to be done about this. This could in time have catastrophic effects if not corrected. It's disgraceful that it has gone on so long.

i grew up on this lake. It's a shame. Brockton municipal water shouldn't be pulling from it and we should ban motor boats also.

This really is terrible. I grew up on this lake and have such wonderful memories of being able to swim in the lake. My father still lives on Monponsett, and his house is right on the water. My husband and I purchased a boat so we could give our children the upbringing that I had- enjoying being on and in Monponsett. The condition of the water is deplorable and we have had minimal time to be able to enjoy being on and in the water. What is going to be done? This really is rediculous that it has gone this far and is now dangerous for anyone to go in the water. It really is shameful and something has to be done ASAP!!! Enough is enough already!!! FIX it!!!

It's a shame that this town has a lake and can't use it because of its condition.
