These small boutique fitness centers have protocols in place that far exceed what I see in large retail businesses. They should not be lumped together with large gyms. Open these businesses NOW

Small boutique fitness studios are able to employ and enforce far more safety measures (masks, distancing, occupancy) than large gyms and should not be treated the same way. Please allow these businesses to reopen.

Pilates MN follows extremely safe protocols that match CDC regulations. Not letting people have access to safe, effective exercise certainly can contribute to reduced immune system effectiveness which would be gravely detrimental to the purpose of shut down mandates.

Allow for safe socially distanced Pilates, personal training and small group classes which will provide for healthy options for clients while they try to maintain their health and sanity during a pandemic. This small studio doesn’t fit the same mold as the larger box gyms. Please allow them to open.

Gov. Walz,
I hope you plan to help all the panhandlers you see because you've shut people out of work!
Look them in the face and support them generously from your own hands!

Please for the sake of getting people healthy and understanding how we help people's well being it's important for clients and staff to get our doors open. The number of cases is so low in gyms/studios. What needs to be implemented are masks for all which should have happened in the first place. Minnesotans are some of the healthy people in the nation so please don't take away their workouts. This is what keeps people fighting disease properly.

As small business owners, our boutique fitness studios employs numerous staff members that are passionate about assisting clients with their wellness goals and support clients to become healthy, a need more important now than ever. It continues to be emphasized that we are essential for community health physical, mental and emotional and yet we are being restricted from supporting our community when they need us most and we can do this in a safe manner. Our industry has, and always will be committed to the health and well-being of all others. Small Fitness Boutiques want to re-open responsibly to continue to service the health and wellness of our staff and clients and have a fighting chance of saving all of our small fitness businesses. Please allow us all to do this.
