Small fitness boutiques need to be reopened, they have gone above and beyond the requirements and we as clients need to have access to them for physical and mental health.

The experience at a boutique gym is far different from the large gym experience. It is much safer and controlled so as to minimize if not eliminate COVID exposure.

BFL, my gym, requires masks during class (unlike some larger gyms), limits class size, plans for social distancing during class, and sanitizes equipment after each use. Please consider allowing them to re-open. For me, this is one of the few outlets I have to maintain my physical and mental health during the pandemic. Thanks for listening!

My private weekly Pilates sessions, pre-shutdown, have made such a (safe) difference for me in my well-being. Thanks for seriously considering this petition for small private fitness centers, Governor Walz.

Please allow boutique fitness centers to open. They are not at all crowded like the big centers. Clients pay more in fees to have small classes.

Please allow In Motion Fitness in Arden Hills to reopen. They have small class sizes and are doing a fantastic job keeping everyone spaced apart. PLEASE consider these small businesses.

My gym has higher standards than any retail location I’ve been in for managing masks, cleaning and distancing. Working out is both a much needed stress release and a means for staying active.

I hope you consider not grouping small fitness boutique centers with gyms. The small fitness center I go to has only private lessons, with 1 instructor/1 student in the room at a time. Equipment is wiped down inbetween sessions, windows open, and makes worn. I feel very safe there. please consider re-opening small fitness boutiques.

There is no reason that 1:1 training, even limited sized groups shouldn’t be able to open safely in Minnesota on Dec 19. This would be less of a strain on the economic impact of these businesses, and they are very easily able to make accommodations for individual groups and allow for six feet of distance, especially for 1:1 sessions, or sessions where it is members of the same household. We need to make less stringent decisions as a community to make the least economic impact while still practicing safety measures like mask wearing.

I've experienced only the most safe and appropriate conditions while attending private and/or 2 person sessions. The trainers are very conscientious to insure that all safety protocols are followed: masks, sanitizing and social distance. These small studios are not a problem!

Science shows that gyms, especially small clean controlled gyms are NOT contributing to the spread of COVID. Not only that, the loss of physical fitness in many lives is making a major impact on their mental well being as well.
Gyms closed at this time is not supported by science or reason and is only hurting Minnesotans and Minnesota business owners.

The safety of one on one fitness is no more risk than salons, tattoo artist, massage therapy. Please think logical about this before you ruin many livelihoods who’s lives have been put on the line here!

Being able to take care of my health through small fitness centers during this time has been crucial to my wellbeing. Not having access has been affecting my overall health.
