We the undersigned, petition LADWP CEO David Nahai to permit Los Angeles-based residential customers to purchase solar electricity from independent producers. This means allowing Los Angeles homeowners to install rooftop solar energy systems operated by independent solar energy producers -- a consumer right expected to be protected by a bill (AB 2863) now under discussion in the California State Senate. By signing this, you can help thousands of Los Angeles residents save money immediately by switching from coal-fired electricity from the Los Angeles Dept. of Water & Power to using clean energy from the sun generated on their rooftops. Help Los Angeles go green! This petition will be delivered to LADWP CEO David Nahai on 9/15/08.
