100% Clean Power for the Palisades

On July 17, 2008 Al Gore challenged America to produce 100 percent of
our electricity from energy sources with zero carbon emissions - and to
do so within 10 years.
California's Million Solar Roofs initiative provides funding for rooftop solar installations, and Governor Brown has set a goal of 12,000 Megawatts of local, renewable power in California.
Los Angeles DWP has launched a Solar Feed-In Tariff program to purchase up to 150 Megawatt of solar power from rooftop installations, which could help reduce peak energy demand in Pacific Palisades.
Sign the petition urging Pacific Palisades to adopt a goal of 100% clean power by 2018. Help avoid the unnecessary costs and avoidable health risks of constructing new power stations in Pacific Palisades by encouraging community adoption of increased renewable energy and energy efficiency.
