The football stadium is a community asset and should remain so. No councillor should ever contemplate selling it to a private company who's very purpose is to make profit for its shareholders.
I'm a Brighton fan, by the way.

Every Town and city should have a football stadium, it's not the property of any man or business, it's the property of the community and the fans.

A Football club is one of the most important assets in any town or city not to be offered to some gambling financial speculator. The Torquay council should ensure the survival of the club and ground. Shame on them if they don't .

As a Brighton & Hove Albion fan I have exerienced similar happening to our club. Fortunately we came through it and I sincerely hope that Torquay can do the same. No club should end up with no
ground and cease to exist. Good luck Torquay.

Growing up in the Bay, going to games as a kid and being able to see players up close and personal assisted my love for football. Plainmoor needs saving to spark interest for other kids. Invite school children for free and give their families cheap admission to go with them. Then you return it to a community club.
