I fully support this petition. This community owned asset should not be used for private benefit. Transferring the ground to the owners for the time being will only allow them to do as they wish, which is likely to include not using it for football and, on previous history, not constructing a new ground.

Plainmoor is vital to TUFC future. GI have a history of being an asset stripping organisation. Do not aid this. Plainmoor stadium is a community asset - keep it that way!

The stadium needs to be saved in order to save the club. Gaming International have absolutely zero intention to build a new stadium. They have shut down Bristol Rovers' Eastville ground, as well as greyhound stadia in Milton Keynes, Swindon and Reading. They have also, effectively, ruined Hereford United. They are property developers, nothing more. The sale of Plainmoor's freehold to them would be a death knell to TUFC.
Professional football is a must in the bay, as it offers a significant boon to local businesses. The club will not be competitive as a part time operation, simply because we aren't close to London, Birmingham, Manchester etc where there are plenty of opportunities to work part time and play semi-professional football in the NL North/ South or lower. Torbay doesn't offer that luxury,
Make no mistake, GI will NOT build a new stadium; is is imperative that Plainmoor doesn't fall into their hands. Torquay will not survive without their own ground, if GI have their way the club will fold entirely, or will be playing in the Peninsula League at Coach Road, Newton Abbot. Best of luck on Saturday to Nicholson and the squad, GI will be celebrating like they have won the lottery jackpot if Torquay are ultimately relegated.
