It is imperative for the future of Torquay United AFC that Torbay Council retains the ownership of the freehold of Plainmoor.

Best of luck fighting this, we're having our own battle at Millwall against a CPO from the local council and developers. If we're not careful we'll lose our smaller clubs and be left with just the Premiership teams and their mega-grounds. They are allowed to continue running with massive loses, while smaller clubs are chased for monies a fraction of those. Save our clubs and grounds, save football.

Torquay is too nice a place to lose it's football club and as a Brighton fan I know to well how these things go (and how lucky we've been).

Torquay might be a small club but have been integral to the football league for many years and then lower leagues. A town like Torquay needs a football club.

The Freehold should not be released UNTIL suitable alternative facilities have been constructed. A promise to build will not do.
