Good Luck from a Chelsea fan, it doesn't matter if you're prem or conference, football is nothing without the fans and the clubs need to start thinking about them instead of the ££££££!

I am a supporter of Hereford FC who had to be re-formed after being wrecked by some unsavioury people to say the last. We are flourishing now, but i would hate to see Torquay go through the same anguish as we had to three years ago. I visited Plainmore back in 1998 when i was a student at the frormer RNIB College in the town, and would hate to see the club fold.

I am Torquay United supporter that has lives in South Devon, works in Torbay and has supported Torquay for 29 years. Please do not as a Council agree to the sale of Plainmoor to these disreputable new owners of the club!

Plainmoor, home since 1910, 107 years of history
- Record attendance 21,908 v Huddersfield, 1955
- One of the first clubs to install floodlights in 1954
- Drew 3-3 with the mighty Spurs in 1965 at Plainmoor
- Robin Stubbs, Lee Sharpe, Derek Dawkins, Mark Loram, Tommy Northcott, Rodney Jack, Justin Fashanu, Steve
Bould, Ralph, Albert and Ted, Colin Lee.
- Automatic promotion to 3rd Division in 03/04
- Football League Trophy runners up at Wembley 88-89
- Conference Play off winners 08-09
- 4th Division play off winners 90-91 (Gareth Howells and Bambers right foot)
- Promoted 3rd place from 4th Division 59-60 & 65-66
- Third Div South runners up 56-57
In everyone who follows Torquay, in every generation, there is emotion beyond words connected with this club, friendships made, fathers taking their sons (and daughters) to their first game, experiencing the highs and lows, the great and terrible football, promotions and relegations, the terrace humour, the great players and the players who were luck to wear the shirt.

I think I'm right in saying that the land at plainmoor was given to council by the Cary estate for sporting purposes for the Torbay area
