Live in Wigan, enjoy local away matches, but equally go to about 3 home matches a season. Plainmoor is unique and a proper ground. Conf south, will be a disaster for me, but no club is not even worth thinking about

I live in Cheshire and because of the football team I see them play in the Midlands and the North and we holiday in Torquay to catch matches there, please leave the stadium and club intact.

i have long family roots in Torquay and come down there regularly to see Utd. you will lose me money if i have nothing to come down for. please be assured. GI have a long track record of promisiing to build stadia. they even spend quite a bit of money on plans etc. but when it comes down to brass tacks there have never been any promises kept and in the 7 or 8 projects they have supposedly been involved in not one have come to fruition. not even Swindon which supposedly was due to open in the next few weeks but nothing has been built. i am going there regularly to check and see

As with any football club, Torquay fans are passionate and want the best for the club. In return Torquay United have put the town on the map and over the years have promoted the town through local, regional and national media. The club has over the years provided a sense of pride within the community. Please do not throw all this away just to make up a short term budget deficit through the sale of Plainmoor freehold. Your decision will be your legacy - do not let it be one of Torquay's history's greatest infamies’

Don't take away something that means so much to so many! People have dedicated many years to Torquay United and lots of money to follow them. Do the right thing, don't destroy the club.

Flip the situation. How many people are going to urge the sale of a club's long standing, tidy home. To property developers, with a history of buying stadia, building housing and not following through with building new stadia. Nobody wants to see it go through. Leave Plainmoor alone! TUFC.

Hope you get this sorted, Wrexham fan. So I know exactly what this feels like :(

We cannot trust GI to deliver a new stadium, given their appalling track record. The best way to safeguard Plainmoor is for the council to retain the freehold. The club's lease runs until 31 January 2081.

As a Swansea fan I always enjoyed the trip to Torquay , even if the results weren't always that good. Good luck with the petition and good luck for the rest of the season
