This is a personal plea, sparked by my affection for a little creature named Peanut, the squirrel. Living in America, I've grown to love our native wildlife, among which the squirrel is found aplenty, unlike elephants. The official logo of the GOP (Grand Old Party), better known as the Republican Party, prominently features an elephant, an animal that doesn't even call this nation home. To present a more accurate representation of America’s bio-diversity and resonate more strongly with home-grown sentiments, I am urging for a change in the GOP logo from the elephant to an animal that is native to our lands, such as the squirrel. It's a small but symbolic step toward acknowledging and respecting the indigenous wildlife that forms a vital part of our ecosystem.
