Derrick Jones aka D-Nice has taken global music to the next level. Ever since nations around the globe have ordered shut downs and families have taken solace in their homes to help stem the spread of the corona-virus (COVID-19), D-Nice has taken to IG Live to spread love and beats for all to enjoy. No genre of music is off limits. He has paid homage to the likes of Nina Simone and the late Kenny Rogers whom we lost last month. There is no genre he has not played and we are all eternally grateful for his dedication.

There is nothing but positive vibes and genuine expressions of love being expressed among strangers through their shared love of music. Celebrity check-ins keep the party going. From hip hop giants like Eric Sermon to our favorite actors including "The Fresh Prince" Will Smith and the beautiful Taraji P. Henson have shown up to express their appreciation.

Using his platform for connecting others, Derrick has humbly and consistently supported voter registration efforts after partnering with our beloved former First Lady, Michelle Obama.

While his Club Quarantine is entertaining to his long time fans, he is gaining new ones along the way. D-Nice has created a trend and other DJs have taken to the internet to share their own brand one of entertainment on the 1s and 2s. For these reasons and more, we think DJ D-Nice should be immortalized with a Google Doodle. He is deserving of so much more but we hope this effort can the beginning of many more tributes to come.
