I completely agree with all my fellow students. This school has the potential to be the best school in Chicago, yet all they are concerned with is the discipline. Demerits for being late to lunch? Really? I feel as if the demerit system is way out of line. As young adults I feel as if they aren't letting us live up to our potential because everywhere we turn its a demerit being pushing our way, because of little things that aren't even close to a problem. Silent until the bell rings for lunch? You can only get up to throw away your tray when your table is called? This is high school, not grammar school.
A Local School Council will give people a much needed voice at Goode.

The Student's... Need to have a Say So Sense We Attend There... I Feel The Students At Goode Are More Interested to Hear Answers Than Actually Most of the parents. Lbs But Everybody should have a say so, mostly everything there is wrong. I still have to say I don't feel like I even left grammar school. What is HighSchool...Never Met It. I seriously have to say everyday I go to school... there is not one reason I look forward to going. Of course I attend school for my education and I wanna go to college, but I have no happy moments while I'm trying to achieve That. I always have to worry about am I introuble... the school can't even award you when you do good they only focus on the bad..... Demerits every where. Then! They found out a way to give demerits for things they couldn't give demerits for... like.... I can ask big amounts of questions but you'll be even quicker to answer if I had a detention or not. I never had detention til I got there like man... smh I hope big changes come to that school... because although other people wish to have the opportunity to attend our school MANY are leaving. Half the people stay because they know that school going to look good on their applications. That school is nothing I thought it would be. People are right, that school isn't organized just like when they changed the uniform policy like 2 days before actual school... like come on now do better... Yall top flight right... That's why I'm trying to transfer now.don't get me wrong the school is beautiful.... but it doesn't meet the standards it promised. Propaganda plays a big role... Nice Job.

I refuse to stand by and watch as my peers' educational careers are bombarded with worthless classes, disorganization, overly ambitious disciplinarians that only worsen morale, and negligence of the voice of the alumni. We are a part of the school that is indispensable. Our futures are in the hands of negligence and halfheartedness? No. There must be accountability. This is a time our voices must be heard.

I refuse to stand by and watch as my peers' educational careers are bombarded with worthless classes, disorganization, overly ambitious disciplinarians that only worsen morale, and negligence of the voice of the alumni. We are a part of the school that is indispensable. Our futures are in the hands of negligence and halfheartedness? No. There must be accountability. This is a time our voices must be heard.

I once went to SEG , but the orginization , the lack of responsibility , etc was horrible. I went to highschool for a reason, but how am I going to enjoy high school when we arent treated like ones. I support this all the way, because i would have loved finishing my high school years at seg but I couldnt handle seg no more. I do not just speak for my self but for others as well.
