‘Goodbye Sky’ Shutdown Sky Hookah in Fairfield
Dear friends and neighbors,
As many of you are aware there is growing concern over the activities taking place at Sky Hookah lounge located at 689 Kings Highway East, Fairfield,Connecticut. Our neighborhood is located in a busy section of Fairfield that boarders the neighboring city of Bridgport. Brentwood Avenue and Kings Highway East see an abundant amount of traffic which creates quite a lot of noise at times. But what creates a larger disturbance is the noise coming from this establishment and that’s the reason I’m writing to you.
You see, like many of you I am a hard working professional who prides themselves on a clean and comfortable place where I can call my home, but recently it hasn't felt that way. Have you ever reached for your cellphone at 2 a.m. to call the police because the sounds of people yelling, laughing or fighting outside were keeping you awake? I have, almost every week. Could you remember a time when there wasn't a police presence outside of your house? I can't. Police get called to Sky Hookah every night for reports of people fighting, carrying weapons or using drugs. Don’t believe me? Read the Fairfield Citizen.
This place is not a classy joint and it shows through its clientele base. What’s even more disturbing is the owner breaks fire codes every week by exceeding the maximum capacity of occupants allowed inside of the building. People have had their vehicles vandalized, windshields smashed, and property destroyed all because of the negligence and lack of concern by the owner of this derelict establishment.
Why must we continue to be punished by this disgusting business and its classless clientele? It is time to say‘goodbye Sky’.This undesirable establishment has caused nothing but trouble for the town of Fairfield.
Thank you,
Don’t forget to sign.
