By signing this petition, I express my extreme displeasure at the imposition of emergency rule in Pakistan by General Pervez Musharraf.
I am expressly disappointed by the suspension of Pakistan\'s constitution, by the usurpation of the rights of Pakistani citizens, by the dismissal of the justices of Pakistan including the Chief Justice, by the curbs on media freedom and by the arrests and detention of thousands of opposition leaders, lawyers, Human Rights activists and innocent civilians in what amounts to a virtual martial law and power grab by General Musharraf.
I strongly urge for the restoration of democracy and ask that you Mr. Farukh Amil as the Acting Permanent Representative for Pakistan at the United Nations, convey my wishes to the government which you unfortunately represent.
I also urge you Mr. Farukh Amil, Acting Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, to reconsider your support for this government and recognize the extreme disservice you are doing to the people of Pakistan and to its constitution that you should be serving.
This is a total disgrace. People in Pakistan deserve their rights back and the constitution needs to be respected immediately. Musharraf needs to step down now.

Enough is enough. My family back home is scared and frustrated. Stop the martial law and let the people have their country back.
