Currently in Greenville North Carolina it is illegal to operate a golf cart on public streets without license plates or registration. Our neighboring city Winterville North Carolina has adopted a golf cart ordinance that allows registered golf carts to operate on public streets with a posted speed limit of 35 and under, as long as they meet the less stringent but safe criteria.
I have a attached a link to Winterville's current ordinance.
Both Brook Valley and Ironwood golf courses are in the city limits of Greenville and any golf cart operating on public neighborhood streets are in violation currently if they are not registered with the North Carolina DMV and have North Carolina license plate. If you own a cart/thinking about purchasing one and would like to operate it in your community please support us with your signature.

I think golf carts could be a good idea but from the way I see people driving through tucker, either too fast or while looking at their phone or both, I have serious safety concerns.
I live on Rondo. I believe that gold carts in tucker would help the neighborhood community.
Agree. People moving to golf communities expect the use of golf carts. Would love to see this approved in Beaufort County as well.
I agree we should have golf cart use with similar restrictions stated by City of Winterville.
Such a welcoming part of any community. Gives neighborhoods and towns a 'small town' feeling and creates relationships that are good for the spirit.

Yes! We live on Rondo and would love to see golf carts legal. Even Ayden allows folks to use golf carts.
