Currently in Greenville North Carolina it is illegal to operate a golf cart on public streets without license plates or registration. Our neighboring city Winterville North Carolina has adopted a golf cart ordinance that allows registered golf carts to operate on public streets with a posted speed limit of 35 and under, as long as they meet the less stringent but safe criteria.

Both Brook Valley and Ironwood golf courses are in the city limits of Greenville and any golf cart operating on public neighborhood streets are in violation currently if they are not registered with the North Carolina DMV and have North Carolina license plate.
