I'm also a Gold Star Family. Shame on this company for doing this to all these families that lost so much. They're family member gave all to this country but cannot even get the respect and benefits they earned to be passed to they're families.

Seriously? Not letting your families have membership? You think they make no sacrifice for their County? Fix This!

My son served 3 tours in Iraq with the USMC.,He took his life 5 years after his discharge as a result of PTSD and TBI he suffered from hos service. As his family, he was unmarried, we weren't eligible for ANYTHING from the USMC or the US government.

I am a Gold Star Brother and a USAA Member. I'm a member because my Father (retired), is a member. He and my mother divorced shortly before my Marine brother was KIA (Al Anbar, Iraq 2006). The interesting thing is that my mother who was his next of kin, received all his death benefits... is the only one that is not able to be a member. I've had several calls with lower level employees who truly felt our pain. But this is beyond stupid. I'll pass this on to a few other Gold Star groups for you if I can figure out how. Sorry for your loss. I hope those commercials don't cause too much pain.

My husband is a veteran of the Public Health Service. We have been members of USAA for for nearly 40 years. Gold Star families (including parents of those killed defending our nation) should be eligible for membership. I feel very passionately about this!

Doesn't seem fair that Gold Star families are not included in this.
