Finally, this needs sorting ASAP. Not sure about a one way system but perhaps utilising the grass verge on the other side of the road to make parking spaces would help or Using some of the huge field for parking is another option. My son was very close to being hit by a car on Mellalieu Street after school a couple of weeks ago. I cannot believe there isn't a crossing guard on this road.

It difficult to find parking bringing our children to school in the morning and while picking them in the afternoon. This is worrisome.

The traffic outside Middleton Parish School is appalling. I worry for my Child’s safety crossing the road. This does urgently need addressing before someone gets hurt. Thanks

My niece has almost been hit by cars numerous times outside this school - something NEEDS to be done QUICKLY before a child or adult is injured or worse.

We need parking space and something done because a child or parent will end up hurt for this matter Evan if its not one way then take some of the field away for parking

The traffic is a major problem and so very dangerous don't wait until there's a fatality a one-way system is an absolute necessity

The children's lives are at risk because of the heavy, two-way flow of traffic. Additionally, children and families often face the precarious task of crossing the road, simply trying to get into school. The area surrounding the school is bustling with life, and it is beautiful to see families walking through the gates together, children excited to be going to school. Residents have been very patient for many years, to their credit. How wonderful would it be if we and the Council could save the lives of children, preventing any fatalities or injuries, by making this helpful change?

The safety of our children is paramount, also the courtesy to the neighbours who live near school.

The traffic issue on this street can be frustrating, especially in the morning. The council need to come to the school aid

Agreed - or take part of the field to do a one way system just for parents

Unsafe and dangerous outside school. So glad the school are trying to take action. Need to keep our children safe.

I support this petition, the parking outstanding de the school gates is awful. Many parents have no respect for the school, children’s safety or residents driveways so someone needs to step in.

This is something that needs to happen as this is not safe for the children in the school and there are plenty of other streets to use

It’s a danger that it’s still continuing and getting worse. I fear someone at some point is going to get seriously hurt if this is t addressed properly
