A man's first born son holds a special place - whether we like to admit it nowadays or not out of fear of not being PC enough. This sounds like a very proud name the wouldbe son will be proud of when he is old enough to understand it's significance.

A deal is a deal? You run your marriage like a business transaction? I'm glad I'm not married to you.

The most concerning aspect of this whole thing is that Nicholas actually reproduced.

It is obviously a mistake to name your kid a certain name because of how it will go over in the bowling league. Give me a break.

I agree that it is wrong for you to fight with your wife about this. It is even more wrong that you are recruiting others to fight with your wife. Shame on you.

Yes, I'm bothered by it. Just another example of dishonoring women. Stop it.

And one other thing, Adam. Please don't reproduce.

The women reading these comments need to know that most men think Adam is an idiot. Adam, stop spewing stupid crap that make all men look bad.

You mean this one? "To do a very large s**t in the morning that has steam rising from it. The steam rising from it resembles 'the breath of the gods,' the Greek mythological definition of Spyridon. Man, I just did a massive Spyridon, and boy was it breathing like Zeus himself." You know kids will find this as Urban Dictionary is a popular website. Once they do, the torment will be endless.

The fact that Putin's grandfather was named Spyridon should be reason enough not to give that name to your child.

My husband and I are expecting the arrival of our son next week. We have two daughters, and I really wanted him to have the honor in naming our son. I didn't like his first pick at all, so we compromised until we can up with a name we both liked. I still have a name I would prefer to name our son, but in light of knowing how important it is to my husband to pass down a family name it is by far worth it to me let him have final say on our son's name. But bottom line, I hope you both value that you have to work together even if it means compromising in making such an important decision!

There are too many Michael's. In this day and age being unique is not the norm. Make Michael the middle name.
