My oldest twin son is named Spyridon Spiro), after my father, and it is a perfectly unique and cool name...at tleast that's what non-Greek friends and acquaintances have told us! There are MANY Spyridons in 20th century America.

I'm a teacher. Everytime I say "Michael" three boys look at me. Go with Spyridon.

My parents choose a traditional name (which I love) however it's far too common. Personally I love the history and traditional associated with my name but for my childern I am going to choose traditional names as well but that aren't as common. How many michael's, bob's, and joe's do we really need?!?!?!

My name is unique so forget about the "un-trained American" ear. Our names are boring! LOL. Secondly, the ladies will love it! ;)

hahahaha. This is a fun one. Tho I have an unusual name, the name Marlene or Marlena is Polish. I was told it was a name used solely by Polish royalty. I like my name but I agree with Michael. Spyridon sounds too much like spider. Unless you think your son would be spiderman, go with Michael

everyone in America is named Michael, why pick something so bland and common
