I understand completely how Mrs. Soukeras feels...However she said she would love her husband for better or worse...Even though she feels this will be a worse decision than Michael...If I was in her shoes and knowing the reasoning behind his choice I would sacrifice naming my first born...He would have to promise in writing I get to name all other children and from this day forward he can remind me that I am always right....LOL Good luck to both of you whatever name you choose as long as everyone is ok and healthy when it comes down to it that is all that matters...
i think it's a lovely name. There's a lot of cool nicknames that can come from it. He will appreciate his name's uniqueness and history.

Spyridon? What a great unique name for a 21st century child, as a first born, honoring not only his grandfather but his heritage too. Cute too, can't ask for a better name, Michael is so bleahhly common.

I love the traditional view point. No one seems to practice traditions anymore. I definitely vote to name the boy Spyridon Michael Soukeras. Who knows; he may grow to be a secret agent with the nick name Spy! Seriously, I would keep the awesome and unique first name of the beloved grandfather. I mean, why complain when the father is letting the mom to be the option to name their future brood whatever she favors? Good luck!
This name is badass!
MICHAEL...for the love of God!!
