I appreciate the history behind the name and the cultural beliefs, but as someone who works in a childrens hospital and sees the cruel effects of bullying these days, I wouldn't knowingly subject my children to potential critisism for something like his name. I'd go with Michael. Michael Spyridon is a strong name that carries his grandfathers memory to uphold some form of the tradition while maintaining the poor little guys dignity on the playground lol.
