GO BACK TO THE OLD CANTEEN FOOD

ALL ST NICKS STUDENTS LISTEN UP!
The school wants to set new school canteen rule which includes:
1.no fried food
2.no ice cream
3.no roti parta
4.no sausages
5.no Milo dinosaur
And more
This petition is to cancel these new canteen food rules.
WHY WE WANT TO CANCEL THEM:
1.Milo dinosaur is an iconic item on the school drink menu that many students enjoy
2.fried food is NOT UNHEALTHY we believe that all food CAN be healthy as long as it is eaten in MODERATION
the school reasons for banning the food items is that because they are UNHEALTHY but we believe that ALL FOOD CAN BE HEALTHY WHEN EATEN IN MODERATION
Here are some points you can make to the school board:
Health and Moderation
1. As you mentioned, all foods can be part of a healthy diet when consumed in moderation.
2 Instead of banning certain foods, promote balanced eating habits and encourage students to make informed choices.
3. Provide education on nutrition and healthy eating habits, rather than simply restricting food options.
Student Autonomy and Responsibility
1. By allowing students to choose their own food, they can develop decision-making skills and learn to make healthy choices.
2. Consider the diverse food preferences and dietary needs of students, and avoid imposing restrictive food policies.
Practical Considerations:
1. Alternative solutions: Instead of banning specific foods, consider offering healthier alternatives or modifying existing options to make them healthier.
2. Ensure that the school canteen offers a variety of food options, including healthy and unhealthy choices, to cater to different tastes and dietary needs.
3. Regularly solicit feedback from students on food options and make adjustments accordingly.
Potential Consequences of a Ban:
1. Banning certain foods may lead to students seeking out unhealthy options outside of school or engaging in unhealthy eating habits.
2.Restrictive food policies may negatively impact student morale and create a negative school environment.
3. A ban may not be an effective way to promote healthy eating habits, as it does not address the underlying issues or provide education on healthy eating.
- I understand the concern for student health, but we
I believe that education and moderation are more effective approaches than a ban.
- By allowing students to make their own food choices, we can promote autonomy, responsibility, and decision-making skills.
-i want to urge the school to consider alternative solutions that promote healthy eating habits without restricting food options.
