GMUSL Library Extended Hours During Finals
The George Mason University School of Law Class of 2014 would like extended library hours during each finals period. Currently, the library is open until 11pm each night during final exams. This is the earliest closing time for a law school library in the area. During finals George Washington Law and University of Maryland Law are open until 11:45pm and 12am respectively, while Howard Law and UVA Law are both open until 2am. American University and Georgetown both give their students 24-hour access to their library during finals. Many students have been asked to leave the library while trying to study for exams at closing time. By extending library hours during finals, students will be able to prepare for their exams better without feeling they were limited by the current library hours. We the undersigned appeal to the administration to extend library hours until 12am or later during finals.
