Gloucestershire, pure and simple. I simply cannot understand the logic behind this as we represent a county with a proud 145 year history, and not just metropolitan Bristol. This is NOT anti-Bristol in any way, but supportive of our identity as a much larger entity. I would categorically say that I would absolutely NEVER attend any match with our proud county billed as Bristol. William Brown, you are WRONG...

What next a franchise ? With players who have even less of a connection with Gloucestershire. Or a southwest team played at Taunton or Worcester. With only two players from us. #alwaysgloucestershire

Club should be focused on bringing people from Glos down to Bristol as well as people within the city. It hasn't worked in Birmingham. At the end of the day people will come and watch winning teams and exciting players. The floodlights should help with better timing of matches

Definitely keep Gloucestershire for four day and 50 overs maybe change for t20s as Warwickshire did to Birmingham.

As a Gloucestershire born and raised (GL3 & GL52) supporter since 1973 and member from 1985 to 2010 despite moving to Hampshire in 1993 a name change would be wrong. It smacks of wanting to increase a Bristol fanbase at the expense of long standing and potentially new supporters from all traditional areas of support. Instead the club should be looking at ways of attracting supporters from Bristol and the whole of the county of Gloucestershire to watch cricket in Bristol.
