Provide the option for users to return to Discord’s previous mobile UI.
As we become more reliant on technology as means of communication, we are at the mercy of the companies that own these social media services. For example, Reddit, Spotify, and Discord have recently changed a major part of their user interface. Changes that occur to the UI’s of these social media services are often disruptive and may lead to dissatisfaction for the end user, as seen with the pushback for Reddit’s redesign and prevalence of alternative apps to view Reddit. Discord is becoming increasingly more used as a vector for communication within the workplace and recently, they have significantly changed the mobile user interface. The new UI is designed in such a way that drastically changes how one navigates the original app, alienating much of the older userbase. This anti-consumer behavior is not only apparent within social media services, but is part of a greater issue plaguing the technology sphere. We can see examples of this in Apple's iPhone, Mac, and iPad and how they are designed in such a way that makes their products very difficult for consumers to fix at their home. Our rights as consumers are thoroughly infringed upon and that needs to change.

If we, as consumers, are able to get Discord to give us the option of using the older interface over the newer interface, it would set a precedent for other social media services to give us more control over our apps and lives to a very small degree. It’s about giving power back to the customer.
