14 miles of regular rail. Good for the people of Dumfries, good for tourism. Money well spent.

Public transportation is almost always a Win/Win situation for any community. I pray you can drum up the funding to provide this valuable service to local residents.

Scotland's economic situation is not good... BUT, opening up more transportation would help people commute and WORK .....

Please consider re-opening this railway as it is very important for the people who live there and those who visit. It's essential for the entire infrastructure.

I commend that, in the face of environmental armogeddon, to say the least, communities endeavor to secure means by which they, and the world, can only benefit. To not reward their efforts by making the necessary contribution would be blatant abuse. When there is so much polution, poverty, misallocation of public monies, etc, the restoration of such a worthy service, which is also a boon to tourism and revenue, is a definite step in the right direction. Make it happen. Shame on you if you don't. The people have spoken and will continue to. I hope that you have heard and will fulfill their wishes. You can't go wrong if you do. Thank you.

Surely 14 miles is not a lot to ask for.
