Two days after Thanksgiving, my husband and I lost everything. We lost the house we had just purchased 2 months before.
Thanks to a local hero waking us from a deep sleep, we escaped with our dogs.Our new home and all the sentimental things you can't replace...gone.
Things antique or handmade. A labor of love from family members passed on. Cherished family heirlooms.
And we found out... we're not the only ones!!! Several housefires on our street have totally destroyed the homes of our neighbors.
All because the fire trucks had to travel for water.
There was nothing we could do but watch everything we had burn to the ground.
And it could happen to anyone else in our neighborhood!
We need hydrants to make water more available to the Fire department and help us save our neighbors from having a total loss or death from a fire.
Help us petition for hydrants in our neighborhood. Nobody else should lose a home when a simple solution is available.

This is honestly so scary. How do we not have water access on this road yet?? It could happen to any of us.
