Give us fire hydrants and city water on Robin Hood Rd. to save our houses!
Two days after Thanksgiving, my husband and I lost everything. We lost the house we had just purchased 2 months before.
Thanks to a local hero waking us from a deep sleep, we escaped with our dogs. Our new home and all the sentimental things you can't replace...gone.
Things antique or handmade. A labor of love from family members passed on. Cherished family heirlooms.
And we found out... we're not the only ones!!! Several housefires on our street have totally destroyed the homes of our neighbors.
All because the fire trucks had to travel for water.
There was nothing we could do but watch everything we had burn to the ground.
It is my understanding that switching from well water to city water will make water more available to the Fire department and help us save our neighbors from having a total loss or death from a fire.
As someone who has watched their entire house burn down, I would much rather take a monthly water bill than have to watch it burn again.
Help us petition for city water and more hydrants in our neighborhood. Nobody else should lose a home when a simple solution is available.
