University of Pretoria - Give Us Back Our October Recess

I am working during the October recess and cannot quit now.

I havr planned my study time already. This is too much of short notice

We need the time for academic purposes

I understand that you cannot make up for the time lost for lectures but a test is written after hours. Therefor I believe there will be time to accommodate the suspended tests in the week(s) after the recess.

This is ridiculous.

We are writing immediately after recess. Some of us had already planned out to study during the recess. We can't afford to lose recess

Holiday plans made.

Give us our October recess ..

Our recess must not be cancelled

After the planned recess I have a test week and I need that time to catch up and study #bringbackourrecess

Taking away such a vital time for regrouping and studying will have disastrous consequences. Yes, we have Thursday and Friday off but that is not nearly enough to compensate for recess. There is no way I will be able to achieve all the goals and plans I had for recess in this time. Therefore, sending an email instructing us to study now instead is not only impractical but infuriating.

I have a holiday job and the money is important.

I miss my grandma.

We work hard, study for hours with sleepless nights. We need the brake it is not our fault we arrive to write tests and get send hom.

I have made payments for flight tickets based on the timing of the recess

Pathetic that people have to suffer there holiday because of some students damage

I would like to catch up on coursework and annual project as planned. recess for me is compulsory
