University of Pretoria - Give Us Back Our October Recess

Come on..

We need that week Two days cannot make up for 10 ways and plans Please

We already have scheduled tests and assignments for the week following the presumed week of recess, in which we planned to work on studying for those tests. This already leaves us without a break (which is what holidays are usually for). Now we are asked to continue working and writing tests in die recess week, inhibiting not only our ability to work as we planned but effectively leaving us with 6 months of unending work. Not to mention the students who already made plans over recess (which I almost did). Most of us did not ask for these protests, yet now we are punished for it - a highly unfair deed.

GIVE US BACK OUR RECESS!! THIS IS HIGHLY UNFAIR TO THOSE WHO ATTENDED CLASS AND PUT IN ALL THE TIME AND EFFORT WITH RESPECT TO STUDYING FOR OUR TESTS!!

I want my recess as I was on campus and never asked for any academic activities to be cancelled or decided to disrupt test as I was attending class and and preparing for tests

Please give us our recess back

Have plans with family to go to cpt

This will not do!! Students will be far too burnt out by the time end of year exams come and unable to function properly. This will be detrimental to their marks.

This is ridiculous! Suspend them ALL! What happened to my right to education?

We work hard during a semester because we know that we will have a bit of a break before writing exams. Plans have been made to go away and we do need a break. Some of us were on campus to write tests and did not protest, but we are also being punished. Its not fair.

Give it back

Bring back our October recess

It's unfair that they take away our recess. We need a brake before the exam starts.

We're fighting for free education! Why must we be punished for fighting for our right?! #FeesMustFall

We have not seen our loved ones in ages! This is too short notice!

Or give us another month for our SKY 400 dissertations!

We need rest

Give back our recess and get the guts to punish the guilty people during the protest.

I just want to go home and recharge my energy level for the next two months. I have reached my fatigue barrier

I agree with this 100%! It is not my fault that classes and tests are disrupted!
