University of Pretoria - Give Us Back Our October Recess

I have already planned an operation in that time and other plans. I need my October recess.

Don't punish the many for the transgressions of the few

I have already booked tickets to go see my mother in London during that week.

"students" with half a brain decide to toy-toy and now we should suffer? Not a chance mate

Please don't take away the October recess.

This is was soley UP's fault. You should've planned better, communicated and acted proactively rather than reactively. Now we as the students have to sit with the mess that UP's bad management allowed.

My family and I have plans.

This is really unfair. It is a bitter strike back on the side of the university. To try and hurt students into submission and allow the capitalistic ways of the system involved

Removing the October recess is unfair and uncalled for , what about students that have already got plans for the recess and have paid for it !

I paid thousands of rands for this holiday and it's the only holiday we have this entire semester.

I have many important study related practicals too do in the holiday, so I will have to miss class if holiday is taken away. As it is not really a holiday for me anyway.

Give us our recess back

It is our time to relax !!

It is unfair for the university to punish students who wanted to attend class because they are too incompetent to apply their own rules and expel the violent and destructive thugs who call themselves "protestors" while threatening violence on law abiding students.

Unacceptable why must everyone be punished due to a handful of protestors

They should just take away a week from December.

We need the holiday to unwind. Too many people will suffer burnout if this holiday is taken.
