University of Pretoria - Give Us Back Our October Recess

I think recess taken away for majority of the students who have been trying to attend class diligently and who play their part is unreasonable.

Let the students decide what is best for them, let them give ideas on how to approach the problems at hand.

Going to T.O Strand to inspire some kids to do greater things and believe in bigger things. Guess that won't be happening, thanks Tuks.

Paid for flights and accommodation. Can't be punished for other people's actions!!

This decision is very unfair towards the students that have been willing to go to university with only one thing in mind and that is simply to get a degree. Do something sensible to end this thing once and for all and do us all a favour please!!

People who aren't involved in the strikes cannot be punished due to them

I've already booked my flight to Namibia. It's preposterous to cancel on recess!

How is 3 days of cancelled school substituted with a recess that ALL other universities had enjoyed? While they ALL have been shut down? In January we were told timetables and curriculums were set up in anticipation of strikes so they have MINIMAL impact on our schooling. Now we booked flights and and accommodation. Who's gonna reimburse us? I'm going recess or no recess

The masses should not be punished for the actions of a few people. We deserve a recess

The university's sentiments approve of the current strike so why should they have to compensate for it? A break is a break, strike or not.

Flights booked for holiday. Will UP reminburse us? This is not our problem. Own up to your bad management!
