We can not cope with so much stress, without a few days to recuperate ourselves. If we knew about the cancelation in advance it would be OK but not with such short notice. PLEASE!

Students need a break from all the work to visit their family and feel refreshed mentally. It is unfair to deny them their much needed break even though it is short.

Please consider to rather shorten the December holiday by pushing back the schedule a week. This gives everyone more time to compensate for holiday plans made, whereas this short notice for October break is unacceptable. Deposits have been paid and flight tickets have been booked. Also November exam marks will be influenced negatively if students don't get this week to catch up and rest in order for fresh mental capacity to be obtained. Lastly decision this will just double their reasons to keep protesting.

Most students have no involvement in the strike, so why should we be inconvenienced because of it? Students with demanding degrees need the recess so we don't burn out, we cannot be expected to cope without it

Not all students are fighting this fight they just want to be allowed to work and earn their degrees so they can go on to become valuable contributing members to South African society.
