TO THE ORGANISERS OF THE GLOWING YOUTHFUL MOTHER CONTEST 2012, MEGA LIFESCIENCES SDN BHD (Company No 606400-P), a wholly owned subsidiary of MEGA LIFESCIENCES PTY LTD) A Glowing Youthful Mother Contest 2012 Grand Finale was organized by MEGA LIFESCIENCES SDN BHD and the results were announced on 3 November 2012. WE are the voters and supporters of the event and your products, allegedly seeking to elect a “wellness ambassador” to represent MEGA LIFESCIENCES SDN BHD. We were in the audience at the Grand Finale. Having attended and been present throughout the entire event, we must express our deep concern at the legitimacy of the selection process and question whether proper and valid systems were followed. Our reasons for concern are as follows: - full and proper account of the merits of each and every one of the contestants do not appear to have been taken into account; - the final 3 contestants were required to write their answers on the sheet of paper provided. The winner’s sheet was not completed- it was full of illegible scribbling, in contrast with the other 2 final contestants who had theirs completed. - the final 3 contestants were required to elaborate on their written answers. As the winner did not have clear answers, she went off tangent and rambled on about herself, as opposed to stating the “take-home” values as the questions required. Her replies not only lack substance, they do not at all reflect passion or knowledge on wellness and micronutrients as compared to the other contestants. - from the attitude displayed and her unbecoming behaviour on stage, she does not possess or display the qualities and characteristics of a good woman, mother, let alone, a wellness ambassador. Based on the above, we believe the winner appeared to have been selected not on merit but favouritism or other improper agenda which we the public are not aware of. The results are too glaring for any of us to accept. In this regard and from our observations as listed above, there are clear evidence to suggest that the results reached are unfair, biased and flawed, favouring a particular contestant. We demand that the organizers take full responsibility for their actions. Given our concerns above, we want to be satisfied that the announced results are the true reflection and account of the observation and decision made by the respective judges as well as the calculation of votes, which we understand is the criteria to win. We demand that are you immediately review and disclose the process of the calculation of results and votes and take all actions required to rectify the situation and reinstate the deserving winners. Please bear in mind that our support has led to tremendous increase in sales in your products as well as heightened publicity through “liking” your page as well as member registration in the last few months during the duration of the Contest. In this regard, we urge you to carefully consider the negative publicity and lost of sales arising from the potential lack of our support. In short, the reputation of your brand and your company is as stake.
