The treatment of Asia Bibi and the reaction to her aquittal are an affront to freedom of religion or belief. The UK government has the ability to alleviate her and her family's suffering. Yes, granting asylum will upset a few bigots in the Pakistani community in the UK. But it is the right thing to do.
