The Peruvian government and police have for years failed to act, and even allowed this neglect and abuse to continue. They must be exposed, and punished!

Millions of hectares of indigenous territories are pending titling across the Peruvian Amazon. Time for the government to apply the needed political will to this long-standing issue. Ultimately, the law must be changed to allow for collective titling of ancestral territory, not just community-by-community titling.

Lamentablemente esto ocurre en muchos países, y la impunidad se mantiene, tal el caso de México. Ojalá en Perú puedan hacer justicia.

There is no reason not to grant The Saweto people title to their lands. Do it now and follow it up with enforcement of forest laws.

Its truly shocking that goverments/corparations " IE low life gangsters in suits" are destroying the planet every second of a day and that the laws of countries/goverments are compiled to facilitate these crimes/criminals.more people need to wake, wise and rise up against these unjust and unworthygoverments/corporations. I pray that the Peruvian goverment give land title to the SAWETO Now! These tribes love and respect the land they are the true owners and guardians of that land. Respect and power to the tribes that care.

To Mr Ollanta Humala & the Council of Ministers; I wish to say that the neglect of your native Peruvians and the neglect of properly managing your forests has led to the murder of an honest, hard-working and good man - Edwin Chota.
You have disgraced his honour and the honour of your country and people by allowing criminals to rape the land and kill whomever they please.
Shame on the Government of Peru.

Please show respect towards your indigenous tribes. They own this land and need it to survive. They do not destroy their environment and must be given protection from the Government.Stop illegal loggers and preserve your forests.
