How sad and disgusting has our country become when a competent reporter should be sacked for holding an OPINION, merely a thought different from her employer's and that of the currently "politically correct!" The Constitution and freedom of speech and of the press seem to be dead. We are prisoners of the indoctrination of the powerful. That has always been the way of governments ruled not by democracy but by autocracy. When will our people rise up and put an end to such anti-democratic tyranny?

Give Melanie Standiford her job back! Those who are pro-life have every right to express their opinion on the subject on their own time! You know perfectly well that, if she had been pro-abortion, this would not have happened. Reinstate her at once!
