Prep is a necessary time for student governance meetings, a chance to meet with teachers if needed, a chance to complete assignments. I had it in my high school. It's a great way for students to keep their sanity. It is needed in today's student world. Since covid, these kids have a lot of anxiety. Not having the break every day is asking for more anxiety and more stress.

This prep time was the only time in the day I had to get tutoring help from teachers.

Prep was a much needed catch up/break period for many students at the school that will surely have a much harder time if it goes away.

Prep was very helpful for getting some extra study time in, as long as giving me time to relax and have a snack between classes.

I don’t appreciate that the rug was pulled out from under everybody and parents or students had no say in this decision. My student is not happy about this at all because she would often use prep time to get extra support.

This is a period where students have time to meet with teacher for tutoring opportunities and to catch up on missing work, it’s crucial for our day to run smoothly and to learn in effective ways.

This time really helps students with their mental health and is a time they can do homework.

Students need this time for extracurriculars to build their college resume and in order to further their understanding of in-class curriculum. Many students in more advanced classes will also need to utilize this time for grasping concepts. I would never have passed the AP exams had I not been able to sit in prep for review the weeks before the test daily. AP exams for fall semester courses are tough, and probably close to impossible without daily prep. Students struggling in lower level courses also may need this time to catch up on schoolwork. Taking just thirty minutes out of the school day has been really helping the majority of students to stay on top of their classes and extracurricular activities. Thanks for your time and consideration.

I believe that removing prep will hinder kids from having the necessary time to make up missed tests as there will be a much shorter window and teachers having multiple kids to take care of simultaneously. Additionally this is a time where students take a few minute mental break from continuous classes and looking at screens non stop. Please reinstate prep for our kids

We need prep back it gave us Students time when we can go to a class and not have to worry. We got to use the time freely and it was a good Marker to show that half of your day is over. My concern is that some teachers my not give us the prep time and will use it as more class time for them but it is not it's for the students to do there own word
