Peter David is the prolific writer of hundreds of comics, novels and stories in other media (particularly those in the in the realm of science fiction/fantasy). He is writer of the revered Spider-Man story "The Death of Jean DeWolff", had his own Spider-Man series ‘Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man’, and was the co-creator of the futuristic fan favourite character, Spider-Man 2099; which was re-launched in 2014.


However, he has never had an extended run on ‘the Amazing Spider-Man’, one of the single biggest comic book titles published by Marvel Comics.
