Over the decades as Zambians we have experienced real democracy and we want this to continue. The Biggest opposition Party in Zambia, the Patriotic Front has faced injustice by a stooge named Robert Chabinga who has hijacked the party. He poses as one who is supporting the current ruling government at the expense of genuine democracy. Despite the courts of Zambia giving judgement that the Patriotic Front should be given to its rightful owners, the judge Mrs Conceptor Chinyanuwa Zulu has refused to sign the Consent judgment. All it takes is for her to pen down her signature and the Patriotic Front can have their party back in order to participate in the 2026 General Elections. This petition is for the Judge to sign the Consent Judgment.

A brief Background :

PETITION TO THE HIGH COURT OF ZAMBIA

Subject: Immediate Signing of Consent Judgment in the Case of Brian Mundubile & 7 Others vs. Miles Bwalya Sampa (2025/HP/0577)

We, the undersigned, acting in the interest of justice, multiparty democracy, and the rule of law, hereby petition the Honourable Court to immediately sign and enforce the Consent Judgment that was duly entered into by the parties in the above matter.

On 30th April 2025, both parties—Brian Mundubile & 7 Others (Plaintiffs) and Miles Bwalya Sampa (Defendant)—agreed through their advocates to the following terms:

1. Judgment be entered in favour of the Plaintiffs.

2. The meeting of 24th October 2023 be declared null and void.

3. All decisions, appointments, and actions arising from that meeting be null and void ab initio.

4. The Registrar of Societies re-instate the office bearers of the Patriotic Front as they were before 24th October 2023.

5. Each party to bear its own costs.

This Consent Judgment represents the will of the litigating parties and carries the force of law. The continued delay in signing it undermines justice, erodes public confidence in the judiciary, and keeps the Patriotic Front in a state of unlawful paralysis.

OUR DEMAND:

We therefore demand that the presiding Judge signs the Consent Judgment without further delay. Justice delayed is justice denied, and any further postponement will be seen as complicity in political interference and judicial capture.

OUR WARNING:

In the spirit of multiparty democracy and constitutionalism, the Court is expected to be on the right side of the law. Should this matter continue to be delayed unjustifiably, we shall interpret it as a deliberate act of dishonoring the late President Edgar Chagwa Lungu’s legacy and frustrating the democratic rights of millions of Zambians and further deliberating defranchising them in 2026 General Elections. There can be no free and fair elections without the participation of the largest opposition political party.

We urge the Judge to do what is right, do it immediately, and restore the Patriotic Front to its rightful leadership. Anything less will only deepen public distrust in the justice system.

We want the Patriotic Front to freely participate in Elections next year but wht is Judge Conceptor Chinyanuwa Zulu refusing to sign the documentation. Please sign this petition so that our voice can be heard. The future of democracy is shaken by this injustice. Let's unite against this injustice!
