I have moved a few times in my life and Father Mike is the best! He should be able to have 1 more year in the church as he wishes! Nobody can replace him!

Unless there is an undisclosed justification ( as it relates to Cannon Law ) compelling this action, this MAN OF GOD has earned the privilege of full retirement benefits. This order is not consistent with Jesus' teachings and actions.

Saint Maria Goretti it's such a strong faith community and one that is been my families spiritual home for four generations. Father Mike is such a strong leader in the church and is cherished by many. As we come together and pray, we ask you consider extending his time as priest at Saint Maria Goretti. Blessings.

Father Mike has been the heart and soul of this parish for so many years. Because of the huge impact his leaving will have on SMG parish it shouldn't happen so quickly.

I am close in age to Fr. Mike. I am the Executive Director of a preschool and childcare center. I am approaching retirement after 23 years in this position. The Board fo Directors is allowing me to have input into my retirement timeline and weaning away from the position. This is extremely respectful and a dignified way to enter the next phase of my life. I only wish Fr. Mike would and should be allowed the same respect!

Please consider allowing sufficient time for this transition. It benefits everyone. Allowing only a few months for such an abrupt change would be a detriment to the SMG community.
