Give Maysoon Zayid a Daytime Show of Her Own on Current

Keith Olbermann, Chief News Officer
There comes a time when individual voices are not being heard and speaking as one becomes essential. We the undersigned feel this is one of those times. The Current TV network has attracted our loyal viewership by bringing Keith Olbermann on board last year, but it seems you have lost this momentum.
* We want Maysoon Zayid to host a daytime show of her own on Current.
* Maysoon’s knowledge and understanding of the complexities of today's political environment mixed with her genius at comedic interpretation, will complement Current’s progress in becoming a well respected, top rated network.
* Maysoon’s professional and personal life experience will bring a broad base of knowledge, understanding, and empathy to situations to women, children, and minorities so that we may better understand their unique challenges, and how politics affect their lives.
* Maysoon will bring a feminine “breath of fresh air” that is sorely missing from Current’s platform. Being featured in a daytime show, Maysoon will attract a target-market audience that is consistently seeking a non-scripted, female point of view.
*Maysoon will bring along a well established ‘fan base’ that includes Current viewers who have always warmly embraced her. Her segments with Keith are moments we look forward to and treasure.
*As the host of her own show Maysoon will bring a much needed contribution to the Current table through interviews with today’s political comics and pertinent players in the world of current events and political fare, something all viewers wrapped up in the ‘agony of daily politics’ will appreciate.
* By giving Maysoon her own show, Current will re-affirm its dedication to being a network committed to pioneering paths in progressive news and current events that cover an expanded spectrum of interest.
We request your sincere consideration of this matter.
