As a BMX rider in the Town of Groveland, I constantly struggle to find places to ride. If I try to ride near businesses or near the houses of Groveland residents, I am told to "go take my biking somewhere else." It is frustrating being told I cannot ride my bike in my own town. I tried to find places I can legally ride my bike. I quickly found that there are no designated areas within a reasonable biking distance and since I don't have my license I cannot drive to these places.

I recently met a group of younger riders with the same passion for riding and the same issues that I face. This gave me lots of inspiration to make a difference in my community. I think I speak on behalf of the many people who ride bikes in my area that we need a place to legally ride.

I ask the town to either take it upon themselves to install a skatepark or give us a designated area to make our own.

I am confident this bike park will be well used and will make lots of people happy. The designated area will benefit not only the riders but the residents and business owners because we will not be riding in/near their property.
