After seeing the season finale, I feel there is a need for a second season. There are so many questions to be answered. Answering these questions will give us enough stories for another season. We can't be left with the cliffhanger we were given. The actors are brilliant and more than up to the task of continuing this story. The writers are more than capable of giving us good stories.
While the first season did differentiate from "Broadchurch" in many ways, a second season would give "Gracepoint" a chance to be its own identity. This would negate the negative reviews and give "Gracepoint" a chance to really shine. "Gracepoint" only had bad reviews at the beginning. Most of these reviews stated that it was too similar to "Broadchurch". It wasn't given the right time slot and promotions that it needed for the desired ratings.
