Property value?? My taxes paying for what?? I have a SUP, and nothing has ever bothered me on the river. Not real happy with the deceitful way this is being handled.

I wonder what is really behind this. When something makes no sense the reasoning is not true.

Keep the Loxer Fox as is. It is more dangerous to have it as a “no-wake” zone thsn not. Having power boats like mine on plane give less wake than idling.

While I can support improvements to the Fox River, I am deeply disturbed that the homeowners have not been directly contacted or involved in the planning. Reading through the Fox
waterway plan, I did not come across an Environmental Impact Assessment and found parts of the plan to contradict itself. The proposal addresses improving water quality, erosion control and safeguarding natural habitats but in another section talks about adding hotels or increasing water access in those same natural areas. The Real Stake Holders are this homeowners that live on in the river and we deserve a voice in the planning. It is my hope that the committee memebers will include the real Stake Holders from here on out. It feels as though there was no effort to include us and we were intentionally left in the dark.

The change will hurt marinas and other businesses. The current is often too strong for canoeing and paddle boarding.

This is crazy, have the boaters no say in the matter? What about the businesses along the river, are kayakers and other non-powered water craft going to in to see a band, have lunch/dinner or a couple of adult beverages?

Have lived on the river for thirty plus years, this is just another step for the hackmatack (sp) land grabbers. There is plenty of room for everyone on the river.
For those that whine about power boats, jet skis etc. Deal with it or move.
Lastly we have kayaks and have no issue with anyone.

We have had our family home on the river for over thirty years and the primary reason we live there is to enjoy the boating lifestyle on the river and the lakes. It is one if the most special places in Illinois and in the suburbs. It is hard enough to justify all of the property tax, sales tax and income tax this state places on it’s citizens and now our local governing bodies want to take away our way of life. This is simply wrong and should not even be considered.

It has been in the works earlier than that for Algonquin, etc. https://www.dailyherald.com/news/20180828/final-open-house-planned-for-fox-river-plan-in-mchenry-lake-counties Wouldn't public officials ask if river front landowners want to weigh in before any public hearings?

Thank you for letting us know. Like many other homeowners I do not support this plan. Let us know what we can do to stop this.
