Power Boating is why we bought a home on the Fox River.

Thank you Kristin for bringing to light this injustice that was burried in a dense Fox River Corridor proposal. Tax payers are being evaded. I also agree with Julie K's point about the wildlife. Animal sanctuaries and reserves will be destroyed by the greed of this proposal's hidden agenda. Real estate development and eminent domain are what is the real focus, not what benefits the hard working taxpayer and wildlife of the lower Fox.

This is profoundly the most ignorant idea and proposal I have ever heard. Businesses along the river would go broke on their investments and riverfront homeowner values would plummet. Go paddle south of Algonquin Dam when there is boat traffic. I also agree totally with Julie K. You can't fix stupid.

They want to protect the eco system and think this will improve things......NOT! The people who live on the water know that developing Burton's bridge would be the biggest environmental disaster for wildlife in the area and birds migrating. That should be a sanctuary. The Eagles, deer, and white pelicans, to name a few, survive there because of the pure natural springs, when the river is frozen solid. The government doesn't know about that. Also, its the same people who organize river clean up days and keep our streets clean so our river is not polluted . Not visitors ! We are so close to the goal...keep spreading the news. Thanks Kristin!!!

What are these people thinking. Why do they think we bought on the river?.

I live on the upper river. I still believe the vote and decisions need to be inclusive of home owners and they should receive notifications in a public manner regarding river changes to include no wake zones

No one has heard about this on the river!! It almost makes me feel that it can't be true. If it is true, I am dead set against it.

Boating there for 20 years. Love the lower river ride. It's called smart boating! I have seen the crazy ones ! value of those homes would definitely decrease. i feel tubing should have restricted hours . seen way to many parents throwing their kids out there on a busy weekend in the middle of the day
